ITU Robot Olympics, which took place for the 15th time in 2023, was held on April 25-26 at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center located on the ITU Ayazaga Campus. A total of 490 projects participated in the event, which had 466 projects registered for pre-selection, competing in 8 different categories: Line Following, Traffic, Scenario: Search and Rescue, AlgoLAB, Mini Sumo, Color Picker, Coin Collector, and Logistics.
ITURO 2023 attracted the participation of students from numerous universities and high schools. The event featured competitions, interviews, panels, and seminars in various fields, drawing more than 15,000 visitors. It gained significant attention on various promotional platforms, including social media, and was covered in both written and visual media with numerous news articles.

In 2016, the 10th anniversary edition of the ITU Robotics Olympics took place on April 8-9-10 at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center on the ITU Ayazağa Campus. Out of 252 pre-registrations, 252 projects competed in 10 different categories: Line Following, Basketball, Micro Sumo, Fire Extinguishing, Stair Climbing, Maze, Color Picker, Self-Balancing, Scenario, and Free Category.
ITURO 2016 featured a workshop conducted by Ufuk Sevim, a Ph.D. student in ITU Control Engineering, which garnered significant interest. In the workshop, Sevim addressed the Theory and Applications of the Kalman Filter, widely applicable in all areas of engineering, particularly in navigation and control of aerial and space vehicles. Additionally, participants in the Free Category had the opportunity to showcase their robots in the media, attracting considerable attention from academics and visitors. The event hosted participants from around 90 universities and high schools, and seminars, interviews, and panels drew over 10,000 visitors. It gained attention on various promotional platforms, including social media, and was covered in both written and visual media, with a total of 30 projects receiving awards.

ITU Robot Olympics 2012 took place on April 12-13-14, as it does every year, at ITU Ayazağa Campus Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center. With 855 projects pre-registered, ITURO 2012 featured 310 projects competing in seven different categories: Mini Sumo, Line Following, Sweeping, Fire Extinguishing, Self-Balancing, Maze, and an Open Category. Participants had the opportunity to showcase their robots on 110 tables set up at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center. In addition to sponsors Entek Eğitim Teknolojileri and Neotech, the robots presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emin Faruk Keçeci and Mr. Engin Aygün attracted significant attention.
ITURO 2012 hosted not only participants from approximately 90 universities and high schools but also over 7,000 visitors who came to watch the competitions and participate in seminars, interviews, and panels. The event gained substantial attention in both written and visual media, as well as on social media platforms, appearing in numerous news sources.
In total, 18 projects received awards in different categories, providing those in the Open Category with many opportunities to showcase and promote their work in the visual media.
Consistent with previous years, ITURO 2012 included not only competitions but also panels, workshops, interviews, and seminars, all of which garnered significant interest from participants. Additionally, on the second day of the event, a traditional boat tour, which has become a popular tradition and received great interest from participants, was organized. On the final day of the organization, after the closing ceremony at Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center, transportation was provided to Elmadağ by shuttles departing from the venue. At Elmadağ, a dinner was held at Taksim Park Restaurant in honor of the participants, concluding ITURO 2012.

ITURO 2011, held on March 31 - April 1-2, at ITU Ayazaga Campus, Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center, featured 350 projects out of 651 pre-registered projects. The competition included 8 different categories: Mini Sumo, Basic and Advanced Line Following, Sweeping, Fire Extinguishing, Self-Balancing, Maze, and Free Category. Participants showcased their robots on 120 tables set up at Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center. ITURO 2011 hosted not only participants from around 70 universities and high schools but also attracted over 7,000 spectators.
The event gained significant attention from the written and visual media, appearing in various news sources. A total of 35 projects received awards in different categories, and special prizes, such as industrial design/patent/useful model awards, were presented to projects that excelled in the free category.

ITU Robot Olympics 2010, April 15-17, at ITU Ayazağa Campus, Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center. With 651 projects registering in advance, ITURO 2010 hosted 350 projects competing in 7 different categories: Mini Sumo, Basic and Advanced Line Following, Sweeping, Fire Extinguishing, Self-Balancing, and Open category. Participants also exhibited their robots on 120 tables set up at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center. ITURO 2010 welcomed over 6000 spectators from around 70 universities and high schools. Notably, ITURO 2010 received significant attention from both written and visual media, making history by being live-streamed on the internet.
With 21 projects receiving awards in different categories, those placing in the Open category were additionally honored with industrial design/patent/useful model awards for their inventions or designs.
